Solid Wood Retail Shelving System – Components
Uprights
Open uprights for our solid wood system are manufactured from premium grade Western hemlock, and typically furnished with a clear, environmentally safe UV finish. Each upright is constructed from two 1 ½” x 1 5/16” vertical stiles, securely joined to three or four horizontal spreaders to provide a rigid frame. All spreaders are mortised, glued and stapled. A molded groove, 3/8”x5/8” runs the full length of each stile and is designed to accept our shelf end channels. Uprights are drilled with 3/16” holes, 1” on center to allow for pin mounting and vertical adjustment of shelves.
Uprights are available in standard depths of 12, 15, 18, 22, and 24 inches and heights from 36 to 120 inches. Custom sizes are available upon request. Minimums and/or upcharges may apply.
